Minot High tennis coach reached another milestone yesterday picking up his 400th career win. But the coach who is in a Class By himself is showing no signs of slowing down. Mike Elm, reporting:For 33 years, Minot High tennis coach, Jerry Lyon has been at the top of his game. Yesterday's 400th boys win only adds to his 301 wins on the girls side giving him 701 total career wins. Jerry Lyon, MHS tennis coach:I'd like to think that we've been competitive every season. Out of all 64 we've given it a run. They talk about the final four in NCAA Basketball, out of those 64 we've probably been in 50 final fours. We're pretty proud of that.
